Shipping
Fledglings currently offer shipping to the United Kingdom (including Isle of Man and Jersey) only. For orders outside the UK please email us (fledglings@contact.org.uk) for further details as we may be able to arrange shipping offlne.
Shipping in the UK.
Shipping will be calculated at checkout. Where items come from just one supplier the following rates will apply. When items are purchased from multiple suppliers an extra amount will be added at checkout to contribute to the shipping costs. This helps us keep the prices as low as we can. As a one-stop-shop, we aim to make it cheaper to shop in one place that buy from multiple online retailers and pay shipping costs at each one.
Second Class Royal Mail shipping is £4.99.
First Class Royal Mail shipping is £6.25.
- For First Class shipping please order before 12pm.
- All First Class* orders placed after 12pm are despatched the following working day.
- Our warehouse are open on weekends and bank holidays so First Class orders placed during these days are despatched on the next working day.
- Dropship items are not able to be for shipped First Class - please check the listing under the shipping information BEFORE ordering to see if an item is coming direct from our supplier.
- Some suppliers may not be able to ship larger items to NI the Shetland Islands, Jersey or Guernsey. If they do there may be an extra cost. Please ask BEFORE placing your order.
Please note: First Class shipping does not guarantee next day delivery. We will ship as stated above, but once the item is with Royal Mail it will be for them to deliver as quickly as they can.
Tracked and Signed For: Tracked and insured in the event of lost or damaged goods. If you would like your order delivered Tracked and Signed For, please email us at fledglings@contact.org.uk or give us a call on 0203 319 9772.
Delivery
Royal Mail
Items in stock are normally dispatched within 2 working days of the order being processed and will be delivered to the address specified at the time of order. Goods remain the property of Fledglings until full payment is received.
Dropship Items
Some of our stock are dropship items which are delivered straight to the customer from the supplier’s warehouse. If a product is a dropship item, it will be written in the product description under the shipping information. Please allow 10 days for delivery on dropship items. If you have any queries please contact us for more information.
Returns & Cancellations
If you change your mind or are unhappy with your order, returns and exchanges can be placed within 14 days of receiving your products. Please allow 10 working days. We ask that all items returned to us are in a new condition with its original packaging and tags where applicable, in place.
Please email us at fledglings@contact.org.uk to let us know that you are returning your order. As we are a charity, returning products to us is at the cost of the customer. All purchases made at Fledglings helps the national charity Contact to support families of disabled children with expert information and advice.
Please email us at Fledglings@contact.org.uk with your order number and the item(s) that you want to return and we will give you the correct address to return to.
Please note:
- Please ensure that all packaging and tags are in place. We can only issue exchanges or refunds if the item can be resold.
- For hygiene and health reasons, we can only accept exchanges or refunds for products in the same condition as when purchased, with the orginal packaging and without any alteration. Items of jewellery and underwear plus others are included in this and this is noted on the listings.
- We strongly advise you get proof of postage or tracking for any return as we cannot be held responsible for any item lost in transit to us. Please allow 10 working days, we will inform you once the return has been processed
- In the unlikely situation that you receive a damaged or faulty item, we will provide you a full refund including the cost of shipping. Once we receive your order at our warehouse and this has been processed we will issue you a refund to your original payment method.
- Once a refund has been instigated it can take up to 3 working days to show on your statement or in your online account.
