If in doubt of its suitability, please get in touch.
The Sandwich Prep Board is designed to make preparing food easier for individuals using one hand. Ideal for those with a limb difference, reduced coordination or one-sided weakness, it provides a stable and secure surface for making sandwiches and other simple meals.
By holding bread in place and preventing movement, the board allows users to spread butter, jam or other toppings independently, without needing a second hand to stabilise the food.
The board features raised edges and diagonal lips that help secure slices of bread while you prepare your sandwich. This reduces slipping and makes spreading and assembling much easier.
A downward edge hooks onto the work surface while non-slip pads keep the board steady and protect surfaces. This ensures the board stays firmly in place during use.
With its slim design, the Sandwich Prep Board is easy to store in a drawer, cupboard or alongside other chopping boards, making it suitable for everyday use in the home.
For additional support with opening jars and bottles, consider pairing with a jar or bottle holder for a complete one-handed kitchen setup.
Fledglings currently ships within the United Kingdom (including the Isle of Man and Channel Islands) only. For international orders, please email us at enquiries@fledglings.org.uk as we may be able to arrange shipping offline.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
If your order includes items from more than one supplier, an additional charge may apply to contribute towards shipping costs. This allows us to keep product prices as low as possible rather than building delivery costs into every item.
Royal Mail recently increased its prices to us by over 30%. We made the decision not to pass that full increase directly on to our customers.
To help keep delivery charges as fair and sustainable as possible, we have moved to DPD for all orders dispatched from our own warehouse.
DPD £5.49 + VAT
Once dispatched, you will receive tracking details directly from DPD.
Due to significantly higher courier charges to certain areas, we continue to use Royal Mail Tracked 48 for deliveries to the following postcode ranges:
Where delivery surcharges apply from suppliers or couriers, these will be reflected at checkout.
Items supplied directly from some of our suppliers may use different couriers and delivery timescales. Please check the “Shipping Information” section on the individual product page before ordering.
Some suppliers may not deliver large items to certain postcodes. If an additional charge applies, we will contact you before processing the order.
We may be able to ship some items internationally. Standard shipping for small parcels to EU countries is typically between £15–£20.
Please note: Customs duties or import fees may be charged on arrival. These vary by country and are beyond our control. We recommend checking with your local customs office before ordering.
If you require a shipping quote for larger parcels or delivery to non-EU countries, please contact us for assistance.
If you would like your order sent via a tracked and insured service (recommended for valuable or time-sensitive items), please email enquiries@fledglings.org.uk or call us on 0203 319 9772.
Items in stock are usually dispatched within 2 working days of order processing and delivered to the address provided. Goods remain the property of Fledglings until full payment is received.
Some products are shipped directly from our suppliers. Where this applies, it will be clearly shown under the ‘Shipping Information’ section of the product listing. Contact us if you need more details.
If you change your mind or are unhappy with your order, you may return items within 21 days of receipt. Please allow up to 10 working days for processing. Items must be in new condition with original packaging and tags intact. If swim or underwear the sanitary seal MUST be in situ.
To arrange a return, sign in to the website with your email, then from your orders page select the item to return.
Important Notes:
If an item is returned in a condition unsuitable for resale (for example used, damaged, missing packaging or unhygienic), we cannot provide a full refund.
In such cases, you will be given two options:
If the item is from our own warehouse, we may issue a partial refund at our discretion based on the condition of the item. If the item is from one of our suppliers, we will liaise with them on your behalf.
Once your return has been received and inspected, you will be notified by email of the approval or rejection of your refund.
As a not for profit CIC, we kindly ask that customers cover the cost of return postage. Every purchase supports Contact, the national charity for families with disabled children.
