The SimplyWorks Smooth Talker with Levels AAC Communicator is a versatile multi-message communication aid with five independent recording levels. Each level can hold a different set of spoken messages, making it easy to prepare communication for different activities, lessons, routines or times of day without repeatedly erasing and re-recording content.
The communicator provides up to eight minutes of recording time shared flexibly across the five levels. Recording time is allocated as it is used, so each level can contain a different number and length of messages. Up to 64 messages can be stored on each level, within the overall eight-minute recording capacity.
Eight playback modes support everything from straightforward sequential messages to choices, turn-taking, auditory prompting and question-and-answer activities. A different playback mode can be assigned to each level and is recalled automatically when that level is selected.
Messages are recorded using the built-in microphone and played clearly through twin speakers. The large 125mm, low-profile activation surface is angled towards the user for easier access, while the built-in symbol holder can display a photograph, picture or communication symbol relating to the recorded messages.
Smooth Talker with Levels can be operated using its main activation surface, a compatible wired switch or a SimplyWorks wireless switch. Recorded messages can also be linked to compatible switch-adapted toys, computer software or electrical appliances using the appropriate connection or SimplyWorks controller.

Eight Playback Modes

Sequential: Plays the recorded messages on the selected level in order before returning to the first message.

Random: Selects a message at random, making it suitable for speaking dice, games and selection activities.

Random – No Repeats: Plays every message once in a random order before beginning again, helping to ensure that nobody is missed or selected twice.

Choice: Uses the main activation surface and a second wired or wireless switch to offer a choice between two messages.

Choice Progression: Moves through a series of paired choices, allowing several decisions to be made during one activity.

Converse: Supports a recorded two-person conversation in the correct back-and-forth order, regardless of how the switches are pressed.

Auditory Prompt: Allows messages to be browsed at a lower volume before the selected message is played at the normal volume.
