Hemley Close Lights — lighting up Westhoughton for charity ✨🎄

Donate to Support Local SEN & Sensory Provision

For the 5th year, the amazing Hemley Close Lights are lighting up their home for charity at Christmas — and this year they’re kindly supporting Fledglings. Thousands have been raised in previous years, and in January 2026 every pound you donate here will be distributed as gift vouchers to schools (via their SENCOs) and community groups within the Westhoughton area to help fund much-needed sensory and SEN resources.

If you’re visiting the lights and would like to give online (or can’t make it in person), please use our secure donation product:

How Your Donation Helps

  • Direct local impact: Funds stay within the Westhoughton area to support children, young people and adults with additional needs.
  • Gift vouchers in Jan 2026: Distributed to local schools via their SENCOs and to community groups to purchase sensory toys, AAC accessories, adapted equipment and more from Fledglings.
  • No-profit mission: Fledglings is a not-for-profit CIC — we reinvest to support families and professionals.

Ways to Give

  1. Online now: Use the donation button above to give any amount.
  2. At the display: Look for donation signs when you visit Hemley Close Lights this Halloween and Christmas.
  3. Share the joy: Invite friends and family — every share helps! Follow updates on Facebook.

When Funds Are Distributed

All money raised at the light shows (and via this page) will be totalled and distributed in January 2026 as gift vouchers to local schools (via their SENCOs) and eligible community groups. These vouchers can be redeemed on approved items that support sensory regulation, communication, inclusion and independence.

Keep Up to Date
