Have you recently enrolled a child that requires some extra support or has a disability? Do you know where to start with the basics of what will help the child have the best education experience? This is where we can help.
Whether you require a full sensory room creating, or a small mobile one or perhaps just some aids to help concentration we have a range of packages to suit. We have done the work for you by carefully packaging up the items that we feel would be a great benefit to the child, their family and the school.
Fledglings has always worked closely with schools, professionals and organisations, providing the products and information they need to improve children’s potential and quality of life.
We also offer FREE virtual coffee mornings to schools. For more information take a look at our Virtual Coffee Mornings page.
We know that caring for a disabled child can be very challenging. We can help. Downloadable Schools Brochure.
In July 2023, we secured funding from the East Lancashire Freemasons Charity to help support this mainstream school in Chadderton, Oldham. The funding was matched by the Masonic Charitable Foundation. The funds have provided the school with much needed sensory equipment both for their indoor sensory space, classrooms and to start their outdoor sensory area. Read their story and our case study.
One school we have helped is Boreham Primary School. We assisted in transforming a dull room into a calming space for its pupils. Children are delighted with the sensory toys and accessories. It features liquid floor tiles, bubble tubes, body socks and a whole host of other items from Fledglings. These items transformed a dull room into a calming and relaxing sensory space for children with additional needs to explore.
"The resources really have made such an impact on our children and we appreciate all of the support that Fledglings has given us. It really has enriched their experience, giving a safe and calm space where the children can relax and regulate their emotions. The parents have also been so positive, sharing how their home life has improved." Jo Huntley The school's SENCO
We recently provided a number of items to Ickburgh School in Hackney and received this message form their Headteacher, Joe Sieber.
"We were delighted to receive a range of resources to support our pupils with keeping safe, calm, and happy, including sensory materials, specialist equipment, and educational resources. These resources are already in place and lighting up our students' days (literally in some cases!). A big thank you to Fledglings."
We work with schools across the UK, providing sensory equipment, learning resources, adaptive eating and drinking equipment and more.
We offer educational products, behavioural aids, toys, sensory and learning resources to help anti-anxiety.
