VAT: Our prices are primarily displayed without VAT (Value Added Tax), as many of our customers qualify for VAT exemption due to disability. To benefit from this, simply complete a VAT exemption form, and we will refund the VAT on your first order. For future purchases, please create an account so we can update your account to VAT exempt status, ensuring that VAT will no longer be applied at checkout. Therapy Putty is a versatile hand-strengthening and fine motor aid designed for rehabilitation, occupational therapy, exercise and sensory activities. Available in five different resistance levels, it can be squeezed, pinched, stretched, twisted and rolled to exercise the muscles of the hands and fingers.
Regular hand exercises using Therapy Putty can support grip strength, finger strength, dexterity and fine motor control. The different resistance levels make it easier to select an appropriate starting point and progress to a firmer putty as strength and ability develop.
The putty can also be used as a hands-on sensory and fidget activity, providing resistance and tactile feedback while the user manipulates it. Each resistance level is colour coded and supplied in its own clear tub for convenient storage.
Therapy Putty is suitable for children and adults who need to work on hand strength, grip, dexterity or fine motor control. It may be used as part of occupational therapy, physical rehabilitation, hand exercise programmes or everyday fine motor activities.
It can support skills used for handwriting, fastening buttons and poppers, using cutlery, handling scissors, tying shoelaces and other tasks requiring controlled finger and hand movements.
Therapy Putty may also suit people who enjoy squeezing and manipulating resistance-based fidget materials or who seek tactile and proprioceptive input through the hands.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
If your order includes items from more than one supplier, an additional charge may apply to contribute towards shipping costs. This allows us to keep product prices as low as possible rather than building delivery costs into every item.

Due to significantly higher courier charges to certain areas, we continue to use Royal Mail Tracked 48 for deliveries to the following postcode ranges:
Where delivery surcharges apply from suppliers or couriers, these will be reflected at checkout.
Items supplied directly from some of our suppliers may use different couriers and delivery timescales. Please check the “Shipping Information” section on the individual product page before ordering.
Some suppliers may not deliver large items to certain postcodes. If an additional charge applies, we will contact you before processing the order.
We may be able to ship some items internationally. Standard shipping for small parcels to EU countries is typically between £15–£20.
Please note: Customs duties or import fees may be charged on arrival. These vary by country and are beyond our control. We recommend checking with your local customs office before ordering.

Items in stock are usually dispatched within 2 working days of order processing and delivered to the address provided. Goods remain the property of Fledglings until full payment is received.
Some products are shipped directly from our suppliers. Where this applies, it will be clearly shown under the ‘Shipping Information’ section of the product listing. Contact us if you need more details.
If you change your mind or are unhappy with your order, you may return items within 21 days of receipt. Please allow up to 10 working days for processing. Items must be in new condition with original packaging and tags intact. If swim or underwear the sanitary seal MUST be in situ.
To arrange a return, sign in to the website with your email, then from your orders page select the item to return.
Important Notes:
If an item is returned in a condition unsuitable for resale (for example used, damaged, missing packaging or unhygienic), we cannot provide a full refund.
In such cases, you will be given two options:
If the item is from our own warehouse, we may issue a partial refund at our discretion based on the condition of the item. If the item is from one of our suppliers, we will liaise with them on your behalf.
Once your return has been received and inspected, you will be notified by email of the approval or rejection of your refund.
As a not for profit CIC, we kindly ask that customers cover the cost of return postage. Every purchase supports Contact, the national charity for families with disabled children.
