Collection: Knit-Rite
For over a century, Knit-Rite® has remained steadfast in its dedication to advancing medical textile products, initially focusing on orthotic and prosthetic solutions before expanding into compression and other medical textiles.
With a continuous commitment to research, development, and manufacturing, Knit-Rite® has cultivated a reputation for quality and effectiveness. This commitment to excellence has been ingrained in the company's ethos from its inception, bolstered by strategic investments and a culture of innovation.
Founded in 1923 in Kansas City by Billy Isle and his wife Anna, themselves driven by a desire to enhance the lives of recent amputees following World War I, Knit-Rite® began by crafting stump socks for prosthetic wearers. Under Mr. Isle's visionary leadership, the company flourished, eventually acquiring Therafirm®, a renowned compression hosiery manufacturer based in Hamlet, North Carolina.
The integration of Therafirm® into Knit-Rite's portfolio ushered in a new era of innovation and growth, enabling the company to broaden its reach and serve a diverse clientele. Throughout its storied history, Knit-Rite® has remained steadfast in its commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions and improving the lives of countless individuals.
Despite evolving over the past century, Knit-Rite® remains rooted in its humble origins, driven by a singular mission: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through innovation and compassion.
