The Adapted Cargo Shorts are designed to provide comfort, practicality and easier dressing for wheelchair users and individuals with additional needs. Available in black and mustard, these soft cotton cargo-style shorts include thoughtful adaptive features that support both independent dressing and assisted dressing.
Full-length contrasting black and metal two-way open-ended zips run down each leg, allowing the shorts to open fully. This makes dressing and undressing much easier when seated in a wheelchair, using prosthetics, or when assistance is required. The two-way design also allows the zip to be opened part way up the leg for convenient access to leg catheter bags or prosthetic devices.
The shorts are made from soft cotton for everyday comfort and feature a wider leg cut to allow freedom of movement and a more comfortable fit when sitting. Elasticated drawstrings at the waistband and hem allow the shorts to be adjusted easily, with the option to gather the leg opening and wear them above the knee if preferred.
Small access openings in each hip pocket allow discreet insertion of feeding tubes, while accessible side pockets remain easy to reach when seated. The tailored waistband design includes a lower front to reduce bulky fabric when seated and a higher back to provide better coverage for individuals who use continence aids.
Combining everyday style with practical accessibility features, these adapted cargo shorts are a versatile clothing option for warmer weather or indoor wear.
