The DMO® Essentials Adult Double Shoulder Orthosis is a ready-to-wear orthotic garment designed to help manage shoulder instability and other shoulder impairments affecting both sides. Its specialist construction provides targeted support across the shoulders, shoulder blades and upper trunk.
The orthosis is designed to draw both shoulders gently back, support the shoulder blades and help stabilise the shoulder joints. This structured support may encourage improved alignment of the shoulder complex, better posture and a more comfortable range of movement.
By improving positioning and stability through both shoulders, the orthosis may also support distal function through the arms and hands. It provides a practical ready-to-wear option for adults who require bilateral shoulder support.
The DMO® Essentials Adult Double Shoulder Orthosis may be suitable for adults who require support with instability, alignment, posture or movement affecting both shoulders.
It may be recommended for people with shoulder subluxation, shoulder instability, previous shoulder dislocation, neurological shoulder pain, brachial plexus injury such as Erb’s palsy, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis or Ehlers-Danlos syndromes. It may also be suitable for supporting shoulder stability following a stroke.
As orthotic compression garments may not be suitable for everyone, the orthosis should be selected and used following guidance from an appropriate healthcare or therapy professional, particularly where there are respiratory, circulatory, skin, medical or mobility concerns.

How to measure: Measure around the chest above the nipple line, keeping the tape measure snug but not tight. The same measurements apply to male and female wearers. Select the corresponding size from the table.
