The Pretorian Flex Controller is an accessible gaming interface that allows compatible external switches and joysticks to replace or supplement the controls on a standard gaming controller. It is designed for gaming on an original Nintendo Switch in docked TV mode or a compatible Windows 10 PC.
With 18 standard 3.5mm switch sockets and two USB joystick ports, the Flex Controller enables controls to be arranged around the gamer’s individual movement, strength and positioning needs. Each input can be configured using the free Flex Controller Settings App, allowing the gaming set-up to be adapted for different games and users.
Settings such as switch actions, double-press timing and protection against repeated accidental presses can be adjusted. Compatible joysticks can also be configured for orientation, sensitivity and dead zones. Configurations can then be saved across 12 profiles – six for Nintendo Switch and six for PC – and recalled when required.
For gamers who use eye-gaze access, the Flex Controller can also work with a compatible Tobii Eye-Tracker 4C or 5 through the separate Flex Controller Eye-tracker App and additional equipment.
Joystick and controller compatibility is model-specific. The latest compatibility information should be checked before purchasing equipment for use with the Flex Controller.
Please note: The Flex Controller cannot be used with Nintendo Switch Lite or with a Nintendo Switch in handheld mode. The Nintendo Switch must be placed in its docking station and used in TV mode. Compatibility with Nintendo Switch 2 and Windows 11 is not currently confirmed by Pretorian and should be checked before ordering. External switches, joysticks, eye trackers, mounting equipment, video capture equipment and other accessories are sold separately.
