The Hi-Line Swimwear UK range of Girls’ Incontinence Tankinis combines modern style with specialist continence support, allowing children to swim confidently at the pool or beach without the need for disposable products.
Designed for girls with urinary and faecal incontinence, this two-piece tankini offers both freedom and security in the water. The set includes a comfortable tankini top and matching bottoms, available in either briefs or shorts, giving families flexibility and choice.
Each bottom features an integral waterproof pant built in to provide secure containment of accidents while swimming. A soft silicone seal gripper at the waistband helps create a snug fit, increasing confidence and reducing the risk of leaks – all without the need for additional pads.

A good fit is essential. The bottoms should fit snugly around the waist and top of the legs. If the fit is loose, leakage may occur. We recommend measuring before ordering.

Our daughter is 8 years old (nearly 9) and has well and truly outgrown any of the swim nappies that you can easily buy in supermarkets. For the last school term (when she has been going to swimming lessons with her class), we have been using a Snuggle Blanks reusable swim nappy, but these have very scratchy velcro and it didn’t fit her very well, and she was becoming quite upset when she had to wear it. This new swimming costume is working really well so far - she is much more comfortable and happy to wear it, even to play on the beach. She has now been swimming in it a couple of times, once in the sea and once in the swimming pool. So far we have had one wee, which the pants have completely contained. The only issue is how to get them off her so that the wee doesn’t go everywhere, which we successfully managed to do in the shower even though she has a sensory fear of showers! This is why the rating is 4 stars rather than 5, as we’re still working out how to use it.
The ladies at Fledglings customer service were amazing - I went back and forth with them several times over the right dimensions for this tankini. My daughter has Down’s Syndrome, so is small in some measurements and large in others, so she didn’t fit the standard size chart as given on their website. They communicated with the person who makes these swimming costumes for them and were very patient in giving me advice. I am really impressed so far by the service and the quality of the swimming costume. I am also grateful that - even though we went for a size that is for an older girl - the design is still appealing to my daughter, with unicorns and rainbows and the option for pink shorts!
