JollyHeap Joy 150 Soft Magnetic Blocks

£1,849.99
Colour Combination: 1123 - green/blue

JollyHeap Joy 150 Soft Magnetic Blocks is a large-scale construction set designed for bigger builds, active sensory play and group activities. With 150 soft magnetic blocks, children can create walk-in dens, walls, tunnels, seating, obstacle courses, imaginative structures and multiple play areas at the same time.

The set includes 100 cubes and 50 triangular blocks, giving children plenty of scope to build individually, work together or divide the pieces between different activities. Strong neodymium magnets are securely sealed inside each block, allowing structures to connect firmly while still being easy to pull apart, rearrange and rebuild.

Made from resilient foam with a durable fabric exterior, JollyHeap blocks are soft, lightweight and free from hard external edges. Their larger scale encourages children to move around their creations, carry pieces, reach, bend, push and pull, turning construction play into an engaging whole-body activity.

The Joy set is particularly suited to schools, nurseries, SEN settings, sensory rooms, therapy environments and larger play spaces where several children may be building and exploring together.

Key Features

  • 150 large magnetic blocks – designed for larger-scale construction and group play
  • 100 cubes and 50 triangles – provides plenty of variety for buildings, dens, walls, furniture, obstacle courses and imaginative structures
  • Suitable for larger groups – enough pieces to create several work or play stations at once
  • Soft foam construction – high-resilience polyurethane foam springs back into shape after use
  • Hidden magnetic connections – strong neodymium magnets are permanently sealed inside each block
  • Encourages whole-body play – children can lift, carry, push, pull, stack and reposition the large blocks
  • Open-ended construction – supports experimentation, creativity and child-led play without a fixed outcome
  • Quiet play – the foam and fabric help absorb sound as blocks are moved or structures fall
  • Durable construction – reinforced seams and dense upholstery fabric are designed for repeated use
  • Machine washable – complete blocks can be washed at 30°C
  • Suitable from 12 months
  • EN 71-1, EN 71-2 and EN 71-3 compliant and CE marked
  • Handmade in Poland

Sensory Benefits

  • Proprioceptive input – lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and separating the large blocks can provide resistance and heavy-work activity through the muscles and joints.
  • Resistance and movement – pulling magnetically connected blocks apart and moving larger constructions introduces purposeful resistance and whole-body movement.
  • Large-scale active play – children can reach, bend, crawl, carry and move around their creations rather than remaining seated at a table.
  • Lower-noise construction – soft foam and fabric absorb much of the sound normally associated with hard building toys, which may be useful in busy classrooms and sensory environments.

SEN Benefits

  • Gross motor development – carrying and positioning the blocks encourages use of the arms, shoulders, core and larger muscle groups.
  • Motor planning – children can work out how pieces need to be positioned, connected and moved to create larger structures.
  • Spatial awareness – building walk-in structures and larger constructions encourages exploration of size, distance, balance, shape and position.
  • Problem-solving – children can test ideas, adjust unstable builds and discover different ways to use the same pieces.
  • Co-operative play – the 150-piece set provides plenty of scope for shared planning, turn-taking, communication and collaborative construction.
  • Flexible group activities – the set can be divided between several children or activity stations, making it particularly useful in education and therapy settings.
  • Creating defined spaces – blocks can be used to create temporary dens, boundaries, tunnels and activity zones within a larger room.

Why Buy JollyHeap Joy?

JollyHeap Joy is designed for settings where a smaller construction set simply does not provide enough scope. With 150 blocks, children can build on a much larger scale, create structures they can move through and around, or divide the set between several activities at the same time.

The combination of soft foam and internal magnets makes construction accessible and physical. Children can carry, connect, separate and rebuild pieces repeatedly, combining imaginative play with movement, proprioceptive input, problem-solving and social interaction.

For schools, nurseries, therapy settings and larger sensory spaces, the generous number of blocks also makes Joy a practical shared resource that can support free play, structured activities and collaborative projects across different age groups and abilities.

Important Magnetic Safety Information

WARNING: This product contains strong neodymium magnets sealed inside the blocks. The blocks must not be opened, cut or deliberately damaged. Swallowed magnets can cause serious internal injury.

Strong magnetic fields may interfere with pacemakers, hearing aids, electronic or medical devices and may affect magnetic cards, storage media and some electronic equipment. Appropriate distance should be maintained from magnet-sensitive devices.

Inspect the blocks regularly and remove any damaged block from use. Adult supervision is recommended, particularly for younger children and individuals who may attempt to bite, tear or open products.

  • Children aged 12 months+ – large, soft magnetic blocks designed for accessible, open-ended construction play.
  • Children with autism and sensory processing differences – provides opportunities for repetitive building, predictable magnetic connections, active movement and proprioceptive input.
  • Children who seek proprioceptive input – lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and separating the blocks provides resistance and whole-body activity.
  • Children developing gross motor skills – encourages reaching, bending, lifting, carrying and moving around larger constructions.
  • Children developing motor planning and spatial awareness – large-scale building requires children to plan how pieces fit, connect and relate to the space around them.
  • Children who enjoy imaginative and construction play – suitable for creating dens, tunnels, walls, furniture, obstacle courses, animals and child-led designs.
  • Group and collaborative activities – the 150-piece format provides ample scope for several children to build together or work across multiple activities.
  • SEN and specialist education settings – suitable for free play, sensory sessions, movement activities and structured learning.
  • Nurseries, preschools and schools – a substantial shared construction resource for regular group use.
