JollyHeap Mini 24 Soft Magnetic Blocks

£349.99
Colour Combination: 1123 - green/blue

JollyHeap Mini 24 Soft Magnetic Blocks is a compact large-scale construction set designed for creative building, active movement and sensory play without taking over the whole room. With 24 soft magnetic blocks, children can build towers, houses, tunnels, animals and imaginative creations before pulling them apart and starting all over again.

The set includes 16 cubes and 8 triangular blocks, giving children a useful mix of shapes for their first JollyHeap constructions. Strong neodymium magnets are securely sealed inside each block, helping pieces connect and structures stay together while still providing resistance when children pull them apart.

Made from resilient polyurethane foam with a durable fabric exterior, the blocks are soft, lightweight and free from hard external edges. Their larger size encourages children to lift, carry, position and move around their creations, combining construction play with purposeful whole-body movement.

Compact enough for a bedroom, playroom, sensory corner or therapy space, Mini is an ideal introduction to the JollyHeap range and can also be combined with other JollyHeap sets as more blocks are needed.

Key Features

  • 24 large magnetic blocks – a compact starter set for home, sensory and educational play
  • 16 cubes and 8 triangles – suitable for towers, houses, tunnels, animals and imaginative creations
  • Soft foam construction – high-resilience polyurethane foam springs back into shape after use
  • Hidden magnetic connections – strong neodymium magnets are permanently sealed inside each block
  • Encourages active play – children can lift, carry, stack, push, pull apart and rearrange the blocks
  • Open-ended construction – encourages creativity, experimentation and problem-solving without a fixed outcome
  • Compact footprint – particularly suited to bedrooms, smaller playrooms and sensory corners
  • Quiet construction play – the soft blocks connect quietly and avoid the clatter associated with many hard building toys
  • Expandable system – compatible with other JollyHeap sets for adding more blocks later
  • Machine washable – complete blocks can be washed at 30°C
  • Suitable from 12 months
  • EN 71-1, EN 71-2 and EN 71-3 compliant and CE marked
  • Handmade in Poland

Sensory Benefits

  • Proprioceptive input – lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and repositioning the large blocks encourages children to use their muscles and joints during play.
  • Resistance and movement – pulling magnetically connected blocks apart provides controlled resistance through the hands, arms and shoulders.
  • Whole-body play – children can reach, bend, carry and move around their constructions rather than keeping building activities confined to a tabletop.
  • Lower-noise play – soft foam and fabric help reduce the noise produced when blocks are moved, dropped or constructions tumble down.

SEN Benefits

  • Gross motor development – lifting, carrying and positioning the larger blocks encourages use of the arms, shoulders, core and larger muscle groups.
  • Motor planning – children can work out how each piece needs to be positioned and connected to create their chosen structure.
  • Problem-solving – building encourages experimentation with balance, shape and different ways of connecting the blocks.
  • Spatial awareness – children explore how pieces relate to one another and to the space around their construction.
  • Cause and effect – magnetic connections provide clear feedback when blocks attract, connect and separate.
  • Flexible, open-ended play – the blocks can be used for simple stacking or more imaginative creations according to the child's abilities and interests.
  • Independent or shared play – the compact 24-piece set works particularly well for one child or small shared activities.

Why Buy JollyHeap Mini?

JollyHeap Mini provides the core JollyHeap experience in a more manageable 24-piece set. It offers enough blocks for meaningful construction and sensory play while being much easier to store in a home, bedroom, therapy room or smaller sensory space.

Rather than being limited to tabletop building, children physically interact with the blocks by lifting, carrying, connecting and separating them. This combines imaginative construction with gross motor activity, proprioceptive input and problem-solving.

Mini is also a practical starting point for families or settings trying JollyHeap for the first time. All JollyHeap sets are compatible, so additional blocks can be added later without replacing the original set.

Important Magnetic Safety Information

WARNING: This product contains strong neodymium magnets sealed inside the blocks. The blocks must not be opened, cut or deliberately damaged. Swallowed magnets can cause serious internal injury.

Strong magnetic fields may interfere with pacemakers, hearing aids, electronic or medical devices and may affect magnetic cards, storage media and some electronic equipment. Appropriate distance should be maintained from magnet-sensitive devices.

Inspect the blocks regularly and remove any damaged block from use. Adult supervision is recommended, particularly for younger children and individuals who may attempt to bite, tear or open products.

  • Children aged 12 months+ – large, soft magnetic blocks designed for accessible construction and exploratory play.
  • Children with autism and sensory processing differences – offers repetitive construction, predictable magnetic connections, active movement and proprioceptive opportunities.
  • Children who seek proprioceptive input – lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and separating the blocks introduces resistance and whole-body activity.
  • Children developing gross motor skills – encourages lifting, reaching, carrying, bending and positioning larger objects.
  • Children developing motor planning – building encourages children to work out where and how pieces need to be positioned.
  • Children developing spatial awareness and problem-solving – supports exploration of shape, position, balance and construction.
  • Children who enjoy construction and imaginative play – suitable for towers, houses, tunnels, animals and child-led creations.
  • Independent play – the manageable 24-piece format works particularly well for individual building and exploration.
  • Paired play – can support simple co-operative building, turn-taking and shared imaginative activities.
