JollyHeap Pixi 12 Soft Magnetic Blocks

£199.99
Colour Combination: 1123 - green/blue

JollyHeap Pixi 12 Soft Magnetic Blocks is a compact starter set designed to introduce children to large-scale magnetic construction, movement and sensory play. With 12 soft magnetic blocks, children can build first towers, simple animals, balance beams and imaginative structures before pulling them apart and starting again.

The set contains 8 cubes and 4 triangular blocks, giving children a manageable selection of shapes for early construction play. Strong neodymium magnets are securely sealed inside each block, helping pieces connect more easily than traditional loose building blocks while still providing resistance when they are pulled apart.

Made from resilient polyurethane foam with a durable fabric exterior, the blocks are soft, lightweight and free from hard external edges. Their larger 12 cm size encourages children to lift, carry, stack and move around their creations, introducing whole-body movement alongside building and imaginative play.

Pixi is particularly suited to homes, bedrooms, play corners, sensory spaces and therapy environments where a smaller, easy-to-store introduction to JollyHeap is preferred.

Key Features

  • 12 large magnetic blocks – a compact introduction to the JollyHeap range
  • 8 cubes and 4 triangles – suitable for first towers, animals, balance beams and simple imaginative builds
  • Soft foam construction – high-resilience polyurethane foam springs back into shape after use
  • Hidden magnetic connections – strong neodymium magnets are permanently sealed inside each block
  • Encourages active play – children can lift, carry, stack, separate and reposition the blocks
  • Open-ended play – encourages creativity, experimentation and early problem-solving
  • Compact and easy to store – particularly suited to smaller home play areas and sensory corners
  • Quiet construction play – soft foam and fabric help reduce the noise associated with hard building toys
  • Compatible with other JollyHeap sets – can be expanded later as more blocks are needed
  • Machine washable – complete blocks can be washed at 30°C
  • Suitable from 12 months
  • EN 71-1, EN 71-2 and EN 71-3 compliant and CE marked
  • Handmade in Poland

Sensory Benefits

  • Proprioceptive input – lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and repositioning the blocks encourages children to use their muscles and joints during play.
  • Resistance and movement – pulling magnetically connected blocks apart provides controlled resistance through the hands, arms and shoulders.
  • Whole-body play – the larger block size encourages reaching, bending, carrying and moving around constructions rather than keeping play confined to a tabletop.
  • Lower-noise play – foam and fabric help absorb sound when blocks are moved, dropped or structures fall.

SEN Benefits

  • Gross motor development – lifting, carrying and positioning the blocks encourages use of the arms, shoulders and larger muscle groups.
  • Early motor planning – children can work out how to position and connect individual blocks to achieve a simple result.
  • Cause and effect – magnetic connections provide clear feedback as blocks attract, connect and separate.
  • Problem-solving – children can experiment with balance, shape and different ways of joining the pieces.
  • Spatial awareness – construction encourages exploration of position, orientation and how different shapes fit together.
  • Accessible open-ended play – the smaller number of pieces can make the activity feel more manageable while still allowing plenty of different creations.
  • Independent or shared play – particularly suitable for individual exploration or simple paired activities.

Why Buy JollyHeap Pixi?

JollyHeap Pixi offers the simplest and most compact way to introduce the JollyHeap system. With 12 blocks, it provides enough pieces for meaningful early construction without requiring the floor space or storage needed for the larger sets.

The internal magnets help the blocks connect, which can make early towers and simple structures easier to achieve than with conventional loose blocks. Children can then pull the pieces apart and experiment again, combining construction with movement, resistance and problem-solving.

Pixi is also a practical starting point for families who want to try JollyHeap before investing in a larger set. As the blocks are compatible across the range, the collection can be expanded later without replacing the original pieces.

Important Magnetic Safety Information

WARNING: This product contains strong neodymium magnets sealed inside the blocks. The blocks must not be opened, cut or deliberately damaged. Swallowed magnets can cause serious internal injury.

Strong magnetic fields may interfere with pacemakers, hearing aids, electronic or medical devices and may affect magnetic cards, storage media and some electronic equipment. Appropriate distance should be maintained from magnet-sensitive devices.

Inspect the blocks regularly and remove any damaged block from use. Adult supervision is recommended, particularly for younger children and individuals who may attempt to bite, tear or open products.

  • Children aged 12 months+ – a manageable first set for large-scale magnetic construction and exploratory play.
  • Children with autism and sensory processing differences – offers repetitive construction, predictable magnetic connections and opportunities for active proprioceptive play.
  • Children who seek proprioceptive input – lifting, carrying, pulling and separating the blocks introduces gentle resistance and movement.
  • Children developing gross motor skills – encourages reaching, lifting, carrying and positioning larger objects.
  • Children developing early motor planning – simple builds encourage children to work out where and how each piece should be positioned.
  • Children learning cause and effect – magnetic attraction provides clear feedback as pieces connect and separate.
  • Children who enjoy construction and imaginative play – suitable for towers, animals, balance beams and simple child-led creations.
  • Independent play – the 12-piece format is particularly manageable for individual exploration.
  • Home playrooms and bedrooms – compact enough for smaller spaces and easier storage.
  • Sensory corners and therapy environments – useful where large-scale construction is wanted without the footprint of a larger JollyHeap set.
  • First-time JollyHeap users – a practical entry-level set that can be expanded with compatible JollyHeap blocks later.
