Postural support with added security for challenging behaviour. The Model 28 is a full body-harness with a vertical back-pad and fixing straps that help keep children and adults in an upright sitting position. It uses a Steel Safety Buckle at the waist for passengers who can undo a standard press-release buckle.

Available in one size only: approx. 4 years to adult (15 kg upwards). Made to order in the UK and shipped directly from the manufacturer.

Key Features

  • Provides postural support and a degree of restraint to promote upright seating
  • Waist belt with Steel Safety Buckle for tamper-resistance
  • Full body-harness connected to a vertical back-pad with two fixing straps
  • Under-strap helps reduce sliding down in the seat
  • Supplied with Velcro® comfort sleeves for shoulder straps and under-strap
  • Fits most vehicle seating: single seats, bench seats, and some high-backed booster seats
  • Access required between seat back and seat cushion to secure vertical fixing straps
  • Highly effective for passengers with challenging behaviour and/or learning difficulties

Compatibility

  • One size fits approx. 4 years to adult (15 kg+)
  • Young children in some child seats
  • All booster cushions
  • Passengers above 135 cm who can sit directly on the vehicle seat

Important Safety Information

  • This product is not classed as a safety harness
  • The vehicle’s existing seat belt must be worn over the top of this harness unless exempt for medical reasons
  • The combination of the vehicle seat belt and this secondary harness offers added security
  • We strongly recommend keeping a seat belt cutter in the vehicle when a Steel Safety Buckle is in use
  • For current UK guidance, see RoSPA and child car seat advice (check official sources)

Usage Suitability

  • Intended use: Postural support and secondary restraint to help maintain an upright position
  • Not a replacement for: The vehicle’s primary seat belt (must be worn over the harness)
  • Fitting: Requires access between seat back and cushion to wrap vertical fixing straps around the seat back
  • Model choice: Model 28 uses vertical fixing straps; Model 27 (similar) uses horizontal straps and fits single seats where the seat back narrows towards the top

Production & Delivery

Made to order in England: this product is manufactured to your specification. Please allow up to 10 working days for production before despatch.

Product specific return policy

Crelling Harnesses Returns Policy

Please note: As Crelling Harnesses products are made to order and shipped directly from the manufacturer, their returns policy takes precedence over Fledglings’ standard returns policy.

On delivery, it is the recipient’s responsibility to check the order to ensure it is correct and satisfactory. Any queries or returns must be raised directly with Crelling Harnesses Ltd within 14 days of receipt.

After this time, the order will be deemed satisfactory with regard to model type, quantity received and product quality.

This does not affect your statutory rights or your right to return an item if there is an issue with a specific product.

Faulty Items

In the unlikely event of a faulty item, Crelling Harnesses will offer either a replacement item or a full refund — including initial postage and standard return postage — within the first six months of purchase if it can be proved, or is likely, that the fault was present at the time of purchase.

If more than six months have passed and a fault occurs, it is considered likely to be due to wear and tear. In this case, Crelling will decide whether to repair, refund, or replace the product. All postage costs in these circumstances are the responsibility of the consumer.

This policy is in line with the Sale of Goods Act 1979.

Crelling Harnesses cannot accept an item returned as faulty if the product care instructions have not been followed or if the damage is clearly due to wear, tear or misuse.

Returns Procedure

If you purchased goods directly from Crelling Harnesses and wish to return an item for any reason, please do so within 14 days. Enclose either the returns slip, a copy of the delivery note or invoice, clearly stating the reason for return and whether you require a refund or an exchange.

If you purchased a Crelling item through Fledglings, please contact us first so that we can assist with your return and liaise with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Condition of Returned Goods

Important: Goods must be returned in a clean and as-new condition. A charge may be applied if goods are returned soiled or damaged. The charge will vary depending on the condition and extent of any damage.

All postal charges are the responsibility of the customer. Crelling strongly recommends obtaining a certificate of postage, as you are responsible for the parcel until it has been received at their office.

This returns policy is provided by Crelling Harnesses Ltd. and applies to all Crelling-made products sold through Fledglings.
