The Monty Trombone Mount is a specially designed support bracket that holds a trombone securely on a stand, allowing musicians to play without needing to support the full weight of the instrument.
Developed in partnership with the OHMI Trust, this moustache-shaped mount provides stability and positioning support, making it easier for individuals with reduced strength, mobility, or coordination to play comfortably and confidently.
By transferring the weight of the instrument to a stand, Monty enables greater focus on technique and performance, supporting inclusive music participation.
Trombones are larger and heavier instruments that require significant support during play. A mounted solution helps reduce fatigue and improves stability, allowing musicians to play for longer and with greater control.
This can make music more accessible and enjoyable, supporting independence and confidence in performance.
The Monty Trombone Mount is designed for use with the following Millenium cymbal stands (available separately):
The mount has been tested with and fits the following Jupiter trombone models:
Additional compatible instruments can be viewed via the Jupiter range on the Stentor website: View Jupiter instruments
The Monty Trombone Mount is also used as an adaptive trombone support, brass instrument holder, or accessible music aid. It is particularly helpful for musicians who need assistance maintaining instrument position, supporting inclusive participation in music at home, in school, or in therapy settings.
