Optima Trackball – Adaptive Computer Mouse

The Optima Trackball is a compact adaptive computer mouse designed for users who find a conventional mouse difficult, uncomfortable or tiring to control. Its large, free-running ball responds to a light touch, allowing the cursor to be moved accurately without gripping a mouse or repeatedly moving the hand and arm across a desk.

Four adjustable cursor-speed settings allow the response to be matched to the user’s control and preferred pace. The dedicated drag lock button holds the left click without continuous pressure, making it easier to move icons, select text and complete other click-and-drag actions.

The Optima Trackball can also be configured with a double-click function, removing the need to press a button twice in quick succession. Left- and right-click functions can be adapted for left-handed use, while two 3.5mm sockets allow compatible external switches to operate these functions when the built-in buttons are difficult to access.

Its low-profile, symmetrical design provides a natural resting position for the hand and can be used on either side of the keyboard. The large base remains stable during operation, while its compact footprint makes it suitable for desks, wheelchair trays and other spaces where room is limited.
