Orbitrack Assistive Trackpad – Adaptive Mouse Alternative

The Orbitrack Assistive Trackpad is a soft-touch alternative to a conventional computer mouse, trackball or joystick. Designed for users with limited hand movement, reduced strength or motor skill difficulties, it controls both the direction and speed of the cursor without requiring gripping, pushing, rolling or repeated movement of the hand and wrist.

A light touch on the large 50mm control ring moves the cursor in the chosen direction. The user does not need to drag a finger across a touchpad: maintaining contact continues the movement, while lifting the finger or returning it to the central white resting point stops the cursor. Four speed settings and SmartTrack technology help balance accurate targeting with efficient movement around the screen.

Soft-touch buttons provide left click, right click, double-click and drag lock functions, reducing the need to perform difficult repeated or sustained movements. Two 3.5mm sockets also allow the left- and right-click functions to be operated using compatible external switches.

The symmetrical, sloping design can be used with either hand and provides a generous palm rest for additional comfort. With no moving mechanical parts and no separate driver software required, the Orbitrack provides a reliable and adaptable way to access computers and compatible tablets at home, in education or at work.

How the Orbitrack Works
