The vest has delicate, pretty straps on the shoulders and additional support of an inside front panel that is elasticated under the bust for ages 9-10 and upwards, so you could wear it without a bra if you find this more comfortable.
The popper fastening allows you to change pads if you need to and covers your back, keeping it warm and avoiding the potential embarrassment of nappies showing if you use them.
