The Adult Rip-Resistant Bodysuit with Short Sleeves 2501 is a strong, durable adaptive garment designed for adults who may pull, stretch, tear or repeatedly remove their clothing. With short sleeves and full-length legs, it provides secure coverage while being a lighter option than a long-sleeved bodysuit.
Made from a robust polyester and cotton blend, the bodysuit features strong stitching and internal seams that are fully reinforced with special tape to help withstand stretching, pulling and ripping. A strong back zip makes independent undressing more difficult and can also help restrict access to nappies, continence pads and garments worn underneath.
The bodysuit is available with a choice of two fastening options: a press-stud fastening with protective cover or a ring closure that can be used with a suitable lock. Please note that a lock is not supplied with the garment.
The garment is rip-resistant rather than rip-proof. It is designed to withstand pulling, stretching and ripping in most circumstances but is not intended to withstand persistent or extreme behaviour.
The expected lifespan of rip-resistant clothing can vary considerably depending on the individual, their behaviour and how the garment is cared for. As a general guide, garments may last approximately 3 to 12 months.
The garment is fitted with a strong, heavy-duty zip; however, excessive strain or pressure can damage any fastening. Correct sizing is particularly important. A garment that is too tight, especially across the chest or back, can place unnecessary strain on the zip and seams. It should fit securely while still allowing comfortable movement.
The zip should be fully closed before washing, as washing the garment with the zip open can place additional strain on the zip and zip head. Repeated or forceful pulling of the fastening may also cause damage.
If the wearer chews or bites clothing, uses sharp objects, or can gain access to and repeatedly pull at internal seams or fabric layers, this garment may not be suitable.

Also, this item may incur customs charges. We have been advised that this is usual in the region of £15 but could be more. There is also possibly a charge of VAT depedning on the value of the order.
I like to the rip resistant bodysuit and although my son has not got used to wearing it yet it is suitable but for winter and not summer. It would be good if manufacturers can find and use tough material that is suitable for summer months.
