SimplyWorks Wireless Trackball – Adaptive Mouse

The SimplyWorks Wireless Trackball provides smooth and accurate cursor control for users who find a conventional computer mouse difficult to operate. Its large, free-running ball requires only a light touch, reducing the fine finger movements and repeated hand repositioning associated with a standard mouse.

The trackball forms part of the SimplyWorks wireless access system and must be paired with a compatible SimplyWorks receiver. With a wireless operating range of more than 10 metres, it can be positioned wherever it is most accessible, including on a desk, wheelchair tray or compatible mounting system.

Eight cursor-speed settings allow the movement to be adjusted around the user’s accuracy and control. A slower setting can support precise targeting, while faster settings reduce the amount of ball movement needed to travel across the screen.

Colour-coded buttons provide left click, right click and drag lock. The drag-lock function allows an item to be moved without continuously holding down the click button. The right-click button can instead be configured as a double-click button for users who find two rapid clicks difficult.

The left- and right-click functions can also be swapped for left-handed use. Two 3.5mm sockets allow compatible external switches to operate the click functions, providing an alternative for users who cannot easily activate the built-in buttons.

Its low-profile shape provides a natural resting position for the hand, while the lightweight and robust construction allows it to be used on a desktop, held in the hand or attached to compatible mounting equipment.

A built-in rechargeable lithium battery provides several months of typical use between charges. The trackball can continue to be used while charging from a USB socket using the supplied cable.
