Description

The Twin SLAT is a Two-Channel Switch Latch and Timer for Low-Voltage/Battery-Operated Toys and Appliances making it an incredibly versatile controller for managing one or two battery-operated toys or other low-voltage appliances. With its multiple operating modes and programmable timer settings, it offers a high degree of flexibility and control for users with varying needs.

Features:

  • Dual Channel Control: Independently control one or two toys or appliances.
  • Versatile Operation Modes:
    • Direct: Outputs activate as long as the switch is pressed.
    • Latched: Press the switch once to turn on, and again to turn off.
    • Timed: Select a time period from 5 seconds to 1 hour.
    • Co-Operative Direct: Both outputs turn on as long as both switches are pressed.
    • Co-Operative Latched: Both outputs toggle whenever both switches are pressed.
    • Co-Operative Timed: Both outputs turn on for a set period when both switches are pressed.
    • On/Off: Switch 1 turns on both outputs, Switch 2 turns off both outputs.
    • Media Timed: Pulses the output at the beginning and end of the timer period, ideal for controlling media players.
  • Easy Timing Adjustments: Time periods for timed outputs are set using a two-digit LED display, adjustable in seconds or minutes from 5 seconds to 1 hour. Timed outputs can be cancelled early with a button press.
  • Co-Operative Modes: Requires two users to work together to turn on a toy or appliance, enhancing social interaction and cooperative play. On/Off mode can also be used cooperatively or to separate tasks for users with cognitive impairments.
  • Battery Efficiency: Long battery life with automatic power-saving mode and manual power-down option.
  • Flexible Integration: Can alter the behavior of a switch plugged into other assistive technology equipment, such as AAC devices.
