The Wheelchair Coat provides practical wet-weather protection for wheelchair users, with a versatile design that can be adjusted to suit both the wearer and their chair.
Made from waterproof, breathable fabric, it can be worn as a shorter blouson-style jacket or extended to provide full-length coverage when needed. The lower section folds away when not in use, while adjustable drawcords help create a closer, more comfortable fit around the chair.
The coat has been designed to help protect more than just the wearer. Its extended back panel provides additional coverage over the rear of the wheelchair to help reduce rain reaching the seat, while side panels can be worn over the chair or tucked inside for users who self-propel.
When the weather improves, the coat packs neatly away into itself to create a compact storage bag. Hook and Loop straps allow it to be attached conveniently to the wheelchair so it can be kept close at hand.
