Shipping

Fledglings currently offers shipping to the United Kingdom (including the Isle of Man and Jersey) only. For orders outside the UK, please email us at fledglings@contact.org.uk as we may be able to arrange shipping offline.

Shipping within the UK

Shipping will be calculated at checkout. When items come from a single supplier, the following rates apply. If your order includes products from multiple suppliers, an extra charge will be added at checkout to contribute towards shipping costs. This helps us keep product prices as low as possible. As a one-stop shop, we aim to make it more affordable to buy in one place than purchasing from multiple online retailers and paying shipping at each.

• Second Class Royal Mail shipping: £4.99
• First Class Royal Mail shipping: £6.25
• For First Class shipping, please order before 12pm.
• First Class orders placed after 12pm will be dispatched the next working day.
• Our warehouse is closed on weekends and bank holidays, so First Class orders placed on those days will be dispatched the following working day.
• Items fulfilled by drop-ship suppliers cannot be shipped First Class. Please check the product listing under ‘Shipping Information’ before ordering.
• Some suppliers may not ship large items to areas such as Northern Ireland, the Shetland Islands, Jersey, or Guernsey. If they do, there may be an additional cost. Please contact us before placing your order.

Please note: First Class shipping does not guarantee next-day delivery. Once dispatched, delivery times depend on Royal Mail.

Shipping outside of the UK

We may be able to ship some items internationally. Standard shipping for small parcels to EU countries is £15.

Please note: Additional customs charges or import fees may be payable upon arrival. These vary by country and are outside our control, so we’re unable to confirm the exact amount in advance. We recommend checking with your local customs office for guidance before ordering.

If you're outside the UK and would like a shipping quote for larger parcels or delivery to a non-EU country, please contact us and we'll be happy to help.

Tracked and Signed For

If you would like your order delivered via a tracked and insured method (recommended for valuable or time-sensitive items), please email us at enquiries@fledglings.org.uk or call us on 0203 319 9772.

Delivery

Royal Mail

Items in stock are usually dispatched within 2 working days of order processing and delivered to the address provided. Goods remain the property of Fledglings until full payment is received.

Dropship Items

Some products are shipped directly from our suppliers. If this applies, it will be clearly stated under the ‘Shipping Information’ section of the product listing. Please allow up to 10 days for delivery of drop-ship items. Contact us if you need more information.

Returns & Cancellations

If you change your mind or are unhappy with your order, returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of receiving your products. Please allow up to 10 working days for processing. Items must be returned in new condition with original packaging and tags intact where applicable.

To initiate a return, email us at enquiries@fledglings.org.uk with your order number and the item(s) you wish to return. We will provide the correct return address.

Important Notes:

1. Items must have all original packaging and tags. Refunds or exchanges will only be issued if the item can be resold.
2. For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on certain items including underwear and jewellery. These will be clearly marked on the product listing.
3. We strongly recommend obtaining proof of postage or tracking when returning items. We cannot be held responsible for returns lost in transit. Please allow up to 10 working days for processing.
4. If you receive a damaged or faulty item, we will refund the full cost including shipping. Refunds are processed once the return has been received and assessed.
5. Refunds may take up to 3 working days to appear in your account after processing.
6. Drop-ship suppliers may charge a restocking fee which will be deducted from your refund. Please contact us before ordering if you are unsure whether an item is suitable.

As a charity, we ask that customers cover the cost of returning items. Every purchase from Fledglings supports Contact, the national charity for families with disabled children.
