The Harry Harness Complete Set helps neurodivergent children, teenagers and adults stay safely connected to a parent, carer or support worker during outings.

Created by Joanne, a mother to Harry who is autistic and has ADHD, the harness was developed from real-life experience to provide a respectful and supportive way to stay close in busy or unfamiliar environments while still allowing freedom of movement.

How to Order Your Harry Harness Complete Set

The Harry Harness Complete Set includes two parts: a Wearer Strap and a Supporter Strap with Freedom Attachment.

The Harry Harness works as a two-part system. To use the harness you will need both the Wearer Strap (worn around the waist) and the Supporter Strap with Freedom Attachment.

Please follow the steps below to select your sizes and add both parts to your basket.

Step 1 – Choose the Wearer Strap

Select the correct waist size and colour for the person wearing the harness.

Choose Wearer Strap

Step 2 – Choose the Supporter Strap

Select the waist size and colour for the parent, carer or support worker.

Choose Supporter Strap

Once both items are added to your basket you will have the complete Harry Harness system ready for use.

How The Harry Harness Works

  1. The supporter puts on the Supporter Strap, which includes the integrated Freedom Attachment, and adjusts it for a comfortable fit.
  2. The wearer puts on the Wearer Strap and adjusts it so it sits securely and comfortably around the waist.
  3. The Freedom Attachment connects the two straps together.
  4. The fixed-length connection helps the supporter and wearer stay safely connected while still allowing natural movement and independence.

Designed With Real Life in Mind

  • Waist-level connection — no wrist straps, reins or constant hand holding required
  • Soft, low-sensory fabrics chosen for comfort
  • Lightweight design (approximately 300g)
  • Suitable for children, teenagers and adults
  • Adjustable straps to accommodate clothing layers
  • Designed and manufactured in the UK
  • Hand washable

A Supportive Connection, Not a Restraint

The Harry Harness is designed to support safety and reassurance during outings while still allowing the wearer freedom of movement.

Unlike wrist straps or traditional reins, the harness uses a comfortable waist-level connection between the wearer and the supporter. This helps individuals stay safely nearby without restricting natural movement or requiring constant hand holding.

The design focuses on dignity, comfort and independence. Many families, carers and support workers find that it provides reassurance in busy or unfamiliar environments while still allowing the wearer to move, explore and participate in everyday activities.

Support for Safe and Confident Outings

The Harry Harness can be helpful for families, carers and professionals supporting individuals who may need extra reassurance when walking in busy environments.

Many people searching for solutions like an autism safety harness, special needs walking harness, or an anti-bolt harness are looking for a way to stay safely connected while still encouraging independence.

The Harry Harness provides a supportive waist-level connection between the wearer and supporter, helping reduce the risk of sudden wandering or bolting while allowing the wearer to move naturally and comfortably.

It can be used for everyday outings such as shopping trips, walks, school journeys, holidays, and other situations where staying close together can help everyone feel calmer and more confident.

The Harry Harness may be helpful for neurodivergent individuals and others who benefit from physical reassurance, routine or close support when out in public. This may include people with:

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Learning disabilities
  • Sensory processing differences
  • Anxiety
  • A tendency to bolt, wander or become overwhelmed in busy spaces
