SimplyWorks SEND and SEND-6 Wireless Switch Interfaces

The SimplyWorks SEND and SEND-6 Wireless Switch Interfaces turn compatible wired switches into wireless controls for the SimplyWorks system. They allow specialist switches such as foot, pillow, squeeze and sip-and-puff switches to be positioned where they are most accessible, without a cable running between the user and the receiving device.

A wired switch connects to one of the 3.5mm input sockets and the SEND interface is then paired with a compatible SimplyWorks receiver. Depending on the receiver selected, the switch can be used for computer access, switch activities, communication, environmental control or operating compatible switch-adapted equipment.

Two models are available. SimplyWorks SEND connects one wired switch, while SimplyWorks SEND-6 connects up to six wired switches through one transmitter. SEND-6 is particularly useful for wheelchair-mounted switch arrays and other multi-switch access arrangements because only one pairing operation is required.

When used for computer access, the function of each switch can be selected using the integrated display and keypad. SEND-6 can also turn a six-switch arrangement into a mouse emulator, using four switches for directional cursor movement and the remaining two for left and right click.

Both models provide a wireless operating range of up to 10 metres and are powered by two AAA batteries. Automatic power-saving removes the need for an everyday on/off switch, helping the batteries provide many months of typical use.

How the SimplyWorks System Connects

1. One compatible wired switch is connected to SEND, or up to six switches are connected to SEND-6.
2. The SEND transmitter is paired with the appropriate SimplyWorks receiver.
3. For computer access, the required switch functions are selected using the display and keypad.
4. Activating a connected switch sends the selected command wirelessly to the receiver.
